My background
I live with autism, mental health challenges, diabetes, and a thyroid condition, all diagnosed by medical professionals. Because of this, I’ve chosen a flexible way of working that suits my lifestyle and allows me to manage my health effectively.
Building my Avon business has given me something positive to focus on, while also creating an opportunity to grow my income over time. It allows me to work independently, at my own pace, and in a way that fits around my day-to-day life.
My goal is to continue developing this into a strong and reliable source of income. As my business grows, I aim to become more financially independent and gradually rely less on additional support.
My efforts
Please note that you do not need to do everything listed here. Avon is your own business, and you can choose to do as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
I personally choose to put in a lot of effort to grow my business. This includes delivering brochures locally, investing small amounts into materials, and promoting my business both online and offline.
On average, I spend a small amount each month on brochures, cards, and promotion. I also look for ways to reduce costs where possible and make use of support available to me.
I regularly place advertisements in local shops and businesses, as well as sharing my business online across multiple platforms.
Apps I created
One of the main ways I promote my Avon business is through apps I created myself.
I developed an Android app and published it on the Google Play Store. This required a one-time developer fee, but it allows me to keep uploading apps permanently.
I also created an iOS app, although maintaining an Apple developer account requires an annual fee, so availability may change.
If you are interested in doing this yourself, I created a tutorial showing how you can build your own app:

Social media and online presence
I have created multiple Facebook pages, groups, and chats to promote my Avon business and stay connected with customers and representatives.
I also use other social media platforms and local buy-and-sell groups to increase visibility.
Consistency is key, and I continue updating these platforms regularly to keep my business active and growing.
Local advertising
I also promote my business locally by placing brochures and business cards in shops and businesses around my area.
This helps me reach customers who may not be active online and builds trust within the local community.
I regularly deliver brochures to homes and continue expanding my reach where possible.
